2. What data we collect
- Contact data you provide — when you use our contact form or email us: your name, email address and the content of your message.
- Technical data — collected automatically by our web server and required for security and stable operation: IP address, browser type, operating system, date and time of the request, and the pages requested.
- Cookies — small files stored on your device. See section 6 and our cookie settings.
The way our mobile applications handle data is described separately in section 9. We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, and our website and applications are not directed to children.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Responding to your enquiries and providing the services or information you request — legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and/or steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Operating, securing and maintaining the website — legal basis: our legitimate interest in a safe and functional website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Non-essential cookies (if any) — legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can give or withdraw at any time via the cookie settings.
- Complying with legal obligations — legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
4. How we share data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only with:
- service providers who process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (e.g. our hosting and email providers), acting only on our instructions;
- competent authorities where required by law.
Our infrastructure is located within the European Union / European Economic Area. If any transfer outside the EEA were to occur, we would ensure appropriate safeguards under Chapter V of the GDPR.
5. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above: enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact, and server logs for a short period for security purposes, unless a longer retention is required by law.
6. Cookies
Our website uses strictly necessary cookies required for it to function (for example, a session cookie). These do not require consent. Any functional or analytics cookies are used only with your consent. You can review and change your choices at any time using the cookie settings.
7. Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you have the right to: access your data; rectify inaccurate data; erase data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. To exercise these rights, contact us at
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in Latvia — the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), www.dvi.gov.lv.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
9. Mobile applications (Google Play and Apple App Store)
We also develop and publish mobile applications, distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store. This section explains how those applications handle data. Our applications are built to work without collecting personal data: they have no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking, and any settings, presets and recordings you create are stored only on your own device.
9.1 Data processed by the app stores
When you download or use an application from Google Play or the Apple App Store, the store operator (Google LLC or Apple Inc.) may process data such as your account and download activity, device information and — where an application reports them — crash and performance statistics, in accordance with the store's own privacy policy. We may receive aggregated, anonymised statistics from the stores (for example, total install or crash counts) that do not identify you individually. This store-level processing is governed by:
- Google Play — Google Privacy Policy;
- Apple App Store — Apple Privacy Policy.
9.2 Vascular — Tactile Synth
Vascular — Tactile Synth (application ID com.nzimas.vascular) is a self-contained musical instrument. It does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to us, and it does not gather data in the background. Specifically:
- The app requests only the permission required to configure audio output (
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS). It does not request internet access, location, contacts, the microphone, or access to your files or photos — so it has no technical means to send your data anywhere on its own. - Everything you create — settings, presets and audio recordings — is stored locally on your device. A recording leaves your device only if you choose to share it, through your device's standard share sheet, to a destination that you select.
- The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and no user accounts. Automatic cloud backup of the app's data is disabled.
- Reporting a problem (optional, user-initiated). If you use the in-app "report a problem" feature, the app assembles a technical diagnostic report — a performance/error log, your device model, your operating-system version and the current session's node count — and opens your own email app with a message addressed to
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Nothing is sent unless you review and send that email yourself. The report is intended to contain technical information only; please avoid including personal details in your message. If you do send it, we handle that correspondence in the same way as any support enquiry (see sections 3–5 and 7).
In terms of the Google Play Data safety section and Apple's App Store privacy questionnaire, Vascular — Tactile Synth collects no data automatically; the only information that ever reaches us is a diagnostic support email that you compose and send yourself, as described above. The app is a musical instrument and is not directed to children.
9.3 Future applications
If we publish further applications, or if an application's data practices change, we will update this section and the relevant store listing to reflect that before or when the change takes effect.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the "Last updated" date shown above.
